Feb 25: INTRO TO TORCHWORK
10:30 to Noon $15
Fire can be fun! This class is a pre-requisite for all of our torch classes. We will cover safety considerations, how to use the tools we need, and the difference between fusing and soldering. Several quick exercises will acquaint you with the basics of manipulating metal with heat.

Feb 25: FUSED SILVER LINK JEWELRY
12:15 to 2:45 $25 + materials
Make cool, contemporary link jewelry while you learn the beginning fundamentals of metalworking with a torch. We'll make solid chain links for your necklace or earring project by shaping and fusing wire.

Feb 26: SOLDERING: Copper-Silver Pendant
11:30 to 2:30 $50 all materials included
Build on what you learned in the Intro to Torchwork class. You will construct a copper and silver pendant. Techniques include sweat soldering, seam soldering, sawing, finishing and stamping.

Mar 3: "CROSSROADS" BRACELET
10:30 to 1:30 $25 plus some materials
Zig-zag your way through glass Tila beads to make this interesting (and comfortable!) woven bracelet. We'll use a basic netting stitch, applied to these unusual two-holed tile beads. So easy, so pretty.

Mar 10: HAMMERED WIRE JEWELRY
10:30 to 1:30 $30 all materials included
Fun class that practices hammering techniques on wire. We'll make two pairs of earrings, a necklace, and the clasp while we get more familiar with manipulating wire.

Mar 11: LEATHER BEADED WRAP BRACELET
11:30 to 2:30 $25 some materials included
Learn how to make this great-looking wrap-around bracelet! Use any combination of Miyuki Tila Beads, round gemstone beads, pearls or faceted crystal for an unexpected and unique design!

Mar 17: INTRO TO RIVETING & STAMPING
10:30 to 1:30 $35 all materials included
Learn stamping and texturing on metal and the cold-connection fundamentals of riveting, using both pre-made rivets and handmade wire rivets. By riveting you can connect pieces of metal without soldering. We'll make three finished pendants of your own design.

Mar 18: ROSEBUD BRACELET
11:30 to 2:30 $40 all materials included
Using variations on right-angle weave and tubular peyote stitch, you'll create this beautiful, textural bracelet that looks more complex than it really is! You'll have the choice of two color palettes consisting of glass and swarovski beads. See another pic here.

Mar 24: WIRE-WRAPPED PENDANT
10:30 to 1:30 $25 + cost of stone
Use square and half-round wire to wrap a stone or glass cabochon into a pendant. Learn basic wrap skills of binding square wire and embellishment of your piece. Explore how these basic skill can translate into a myriad of designs.
